MTV Movie Awards- Satisfying, as Always.

Your Popcouver correspondents were on hot standby throughout MTV’s 2-hour awards show, debating and discussing the goings-on!

The Show was right on target! The Twilight Saga: New Moon swept every nominated category, including Robert Pattinson being named Global Superstar. K-Stew was as awkward as we can ask, and Rob was swoon-worthy. He actually made my heart skip a beat. So! Beautiful!

The lovely Sandra Bullock was awarded with the Generation Award, and confirmed to fans (and non-fans) that she “isn’t going ANYWHERE”, least of all away from the show biz. What a graceful lady. We could all take some tips!

Previews included a new scene from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse as well as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. We were squealing like the little teenyboppers we are! HP7 is looking promising! Debate topic: Where are they going to cut the two films?! As for TS3, we see a few switches already from the original text, HOWEVER, Summit has only served up smart choices as far as the screenplays go. Melissa Rosenburg and Stephenie Meyer are a seamless unit these days… we believe!

Musical performances were Katy Perry and  Lady Gaga… I mean, Xtina Aguilera. Katy was cute, if a little weak, and Christina was lip-syncing (badly). Not my favorite performances, but they featured some newer tunes which is alright.

Host Aziz Ansari was HILARIOUS. Who knows where he came from, but our home-boy pulled his shit off.
