Henrik takes the Art Ross Trophy

After a spectacular win against the Calgary Flames Saturday night, Canucks fans had more than just a victory to cheer about. Henrik Sedin’s spectacular assists pushed him over the edge to be name the NHL’s leading scorer this year, with 112 points in total. The Washington Capital’s forward Alex Ovechkin had the opportunity to beat out Henrik today, but failed to do so, leaving Henrik with the prestigious title.

This is the first time a Canuck has won the trophy!

The always-sexy captain, Robert Luongo, commented that Henrik’s season was “one of the best [he’s] seen from a teammate”.

Good job Henrik! I’m sure Daniel is happy for you too!
