There is not that many surprises here, as it appears the academy decided to follow in The Golden Globes foot steps. What is exciting is that Meryl Streep has set a new record for the most nominations with 16 now. WOW! It must feel amazing to be such a recognized actress. One nomination that I found very exciting was Anna Kendricks for Up In The Air. She is such a talented young actress, and deserves all the opportunities she can get. It looks like we will be seeing Anna for sometime to come. Judging from the results it also looks like “Avatar” and “The Hurt Locker” will be running head to head for that Best Picture Nomination. Although James Cameron recently said that he doesn’t think “Avatar” will bring home the top prize, it still looks like a close race. The Oscars will be telecast live March 7 on ABC from the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood and hosted by Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin , so we will all just have to tune in then to see the results. What does everyone think about this years nominations?? Let us know!
